We've been here before, so a disappointment that service was haphazard at best. If you want to come here, particularly before a show, I would book ahead.įor what it's worth, several new restaurants have emerged post-pandemic and some of those are well worth checking out for a better experience. This is a popular restaurant and we saw them turn people away without reservations (although some they were able to seat at the bar). Our total tab with tip (1 appetizer, 2 entrees, 2 glasses of moderate wine, and 1 dessert) was around $180.Īgain, we are just describing our experience. It did not have the level of polish we expected, but that may come with time. We did get attentive and friendly service (which is definitely a plus), but it also seemed new less experienced. The chocolate flourless cake dessert was rich and very good. It was visually bland, tasted OK not great, and had little visual interest. For that we got, again served on a white china plate, all of 3 medium scallops along with 3 identical sized pieces of potato served under a light sauce. The cheese was good, but we were surprised by the small portion and the uninteresting presentation. Our appetizer consisted of a single slice of brie cheese along with some bread, soft crackers, and berry preserves served on a white china plate. The menu was something run off an inkjet or laser printer and had seen better days, again something we did not expect at a purported upscale restaurant. We were seated along a line of tables towards the entrance near the greeting stand and got to hear the hostess try to upsell guests to a mocktail menu throughout the evening. There are wood tables without tablecloths and no particular ambience. The inside is on the spare side and feels like a more moderately priced establishment. This is an expensive restaurant and at this price point we expected excellence. While the interior is similar, please note that some of the photos on this site are of the prior location. It used to be towards the back of a row of shops, but it has now moved to a streetfront location.
